Day 5 - Maoxian to Jiuzhaigou

Half way of the 4 hours journey, arriving to a place call Dixie lake, it was formed after a massive earth quake decades ago

Our rest area along the mountainous road

Toilet break again, also means Buy! Buy! Buy! again :)

Fruits stall at the rest place, the boss just hit the jackpot

Photo taking with me anyone? RMB10 each

This is call yak in English if I am not wrong. Normally they are black in color, white one is consider sacred so they are spared for heavy work or to be slaughtered. Instead they are brought to tourists area to generate some extra income

Lunch at this simple restaurant ran by natives. Apparently for foreign tourist like us, we can only go to authorized restaurant and this is the only one available on that noon

Our afternoon program is to visit Munigou Valley 牟尼沟, it is located between Maoxian and Jiuzhaigou

Entrance to the park

Tolice ??? Not sure if it means for Police..LOL :)

The stream water are rich in mineral(calcium mainly) so the deposits created unique landscape like these
